Michael D. "Mike" Arp, CPA, joined Summit Financial Group in September, 2009.  Prior to joining Summit, Mike worked in the financial services industry since 2003 with A.G. Edwards & Sons and the subsequent mergers with Wachovia Securities and Wells Fargo Advisors. He is licensed as a Registered Representative and an Investment Advisor Representative through NFP Securities, Inc.  Mike specializes in 401K rollovers and works with individual investors as well as business owners.

Mike is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the State of Texas, and was in public practice for 20 years in Wichita Falls, Texas, before joining A.G. Edwards in Amarillo as a Financial Advisor.  He is a member of the American Society of CPA's, the Texas Society of CPA's, and is an active member of the Panhandle Chapter of TSCPA.

Mike and Kay, his wife of 41 years, have resided in Amarillo since 2003.  Kay is a Language Arts teacher at Fannin Middle School.  Mike has served as a Loaned Executive for United Way, is President and a Board Member of Meals on Wheels, and is an active member of Polk Street United Methodist Church.
